Adwoa Badoe

Adwoa Badoe is a storyteller extraordinaire, using a fun, interactive approach to African oral tradition. She specializes in the folktales and legends of Africa.

Adwoa is a physician by training from Ghana,  emigrating to Canada, and moving to Guelph. Here she evolved into an African Griot contributing her multiple talents and skills in many areas. Adwoa, her husband Rev. Fulé, and her family have enriched Guelph and beyond in many ways!!!

Adwoa is an award-winning author of Young Adult novels, Aluta and Between Sisters, as well as The Pot of Wisdom: Ananse Stories, a collection of folktales from her native Ghana. She has also published several picture books in Canada and oversea

 Adwoa is a sought-after workshop leader, teacher, and motivational speaker. She has told her stories at festivals, conferences, schools, and special events in Canada, the USA, Europe, and Ghana. Badoe is a teacher and choreographer of African Dance, staging shows in concert with storytelling.

Badoe is an ordained minister and an assisting pastor at the River of Life International Fellowship, Guelph.

GGS is delighted and grateful that Adwoa continues as a regular teller at their events.
