Laura Bird

        We're excited to have Guelph songstress Laura Bird as one of our feaured tellers on July 26.  Laura draws inspiration from a mosaic of early folk roots and bluegrass music, to old jazz standards. She writes with the perceptive heart of a storyteller and a painters' eye for lush images. Her songs stir the sensitive, compassionate and insightful nature of the listener. Enthusiastic audiences from house concert to festival stage have embraced her warm relaxed stage presence, finely honed guitar work, and that distinctive sultry, smoky voice.
